就业是最大的民生

中国是一个13亿多人口的发展中大国,庞大的人口基数决定了就业问题是中国最大的民生问题。中共十八大以来,各项促就业、助创业的政策陆续出台,就业状况持续改善,成功解决了6500万人的就业问题。中共十九大报告明确指出,就业是最大的民生。提出,坚持就业优先战略和积极就业政策,实现更高质量和更充分就业。大规模开展职业技能培训,注重解决结构性就业矛盾,鼓励创业带动就业。提供全方位公共就业服务,提供全方位公共就业服务,促进高校毕业生等青年群体、农民工多渠道就业创业。破除妨碍劳动力、人才社会性流动的体制机制弊端,使人人都有通过辛勤劳动实现自身发展的机会。

Employment, Pivotal to the People's Wellbeing

China is a large developing country with a population of over 1.3 billion. Because of its big population size, employment remains the biggest challenge China faces in its efforts to improve the people's wellbeing. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, a series of policies promoting job creation and entrepreneurship have been launched, leading to a steady improvement in the overall jobs picture, with 65 million new jobs added.

The report to the 19th CPC National Congress highlighted the pivotal importance of employment to the wellbeing of the people. It called for more proactive measures to promote job creation, achieve fuller employment and create better jobs. These measures include expanding vocational skill training programs, tackling structural unemployment, creating jobs by encouraging business startups, providing extensive public employment services, opening channels for college graduates, other young people, and migrant rural workers to find jobs or start their own businesses, and removing institutional barriers that block mobility of labor and talent to ensure everyone has a chance of career success through hard work.
